Writerly resolutions: September status

OK, this is definitely a better month. Fewer spikes like last month where I got as high as five projects in a single day, but more consistency. The non-fiction project saw almost daily effort (with just a few days around the last weekend missed).

The graph of this month’s overall work. The non-fiction project almost is a solid stripe across the bottom and short story work also shows a lot of work, but with more gaps.

Bar graph with the break-down on the work done this month: Non-Fiction Project	27
Short Stories	17
New Novel	5
Entertainment	0
Old novel	2
Poems	13Poetry keeps cutting in line for my attention, and minimal novel work took place this month. My plan for October is to get the story that I workshopped into submission and the new story that I’ve started work on ready for workshop and then prioritize novel work for the rest of the year to try to fix that.

On the submissions/rejections front, nothing went out and only rejections coming in including one ancient query for the old novel that I’d assumed was a never-going-to-respond case. Imagine my surprise. Given the low amount of work on the new novel (although the chapter getting rewritten is almost through its rewrite) and the non-existent work on the entertainment, I’m going to skip graphs for those this month.
